COBRA |
COBRA requires that certain employers provide continued group health care plan coverage under circumstances such as an employee termination.
Employers should note that COBRA has numerous time and administrative requirements, that carry heavy administrative requirements that carry heavy penalties for failure to comply.
As such, some employers perform some or all of their COBRA compliance requirements themselves, or outsource all or part of their COBRA administrative requirements to a Third Party Administrator (TPA).
